Katherine Center never disappoints!!

Review
I think I liked this just as much as I liked The Bodyguard. The banter was so good, Center never fails to write some amazing and fun banter that has you laughing out loud while reading. There's just something about Center's writing that's very captivating and keeps the reading wanting more. I'm not a fan of romance books over 350 pages, but if Katherine Center wrote a 600 page romance book, I would devour it. I absolutely enjoyed watching Emma and Charlie fall in love.
Emma was such a a fun and witty FMC. I feel like Emma is relatable to a lot of older sisters, in the way that she feels that it's her responsibility to take of care of everyone and put everyone else before herself/ Always wanting to make everyone happy but never trying to make herself happy. She puts her father and younger sister before herself all time, including giving up a once-in-a lifetime internship so her sister could go to university and not have to stay home to take care of their dad who has a medical condition that requires someone to be with him at all times. Emma stayed in her hometown and gave up on her dream of being a writer so her sister could follow her dreams. Her constant state of anxiety and worry was relatable because I too am an overthinker. I liked that Emma's sense of guilt was explored and actually addressed. Her character growth throughout the book was great and really get to see her come out of her shell and let loose. Her passion for writing was endearing.
Charlie was a bit of an odd-ball. He's a grown man with zero life skills, who plays by his own rules. He literally takes phone calls in the middle of press conferences. Charlie's backstory isn't really explored as much as it could've been, we didn't learn as much as we learned about Emma. His cluelessness when it came to cooking was quite funny because there really are guys out there who know absolutely nothing about cooking and would burn their house down. Charlie's ability to take Emma's criticism of his mauscript was cute. I don't really have a whole lot to say about him honestly.
Overall, I adored The Rom-Commers. I highly recommend this book, even if you don't believe in love 😉.
