I'm going to start out by saying that I genuinely did not enjoy this book, which was very disappointing after how much I enjoyed The Love Hypothesis.

Review
So, I went into Love on the Brain with high expectations because I absolutely adored The Love Hypothesis and thought that LOTB would be as good, if not better. Boy was I wrong! The chemistry between Levi and Bee was not there in my opinion, their interactions didn't make me feel butterflies. The only thing I felt while reading the book was annoyance. Both of the MCs were very immature and childish even though they're both grown adults and professionals. This book is marketed as "enemies to lovers" but there was in fact no "enemies to lovers" story. If count one MC having a made up feud with the other MC, then sure it's enemies to lovers.
Bee was so annoying the entire book. The whole obsession with Marie Curie was boarderline concerning because her whole personality was that she was a Marie Curie fangirl. Her lack of common sense was astounding considering the fact that she's a neuroengineer. Things that were so obvious and common sense to everyone else was not to Bee. It was very obvious early on that Levi was SHMAC, but Bee is just so oblivious to everything that is going on around her. How did she not know that cemeteries close at night? When Levi started being nice to her made it clear that he didn't hate her, she was still going on about him being her enemy and how he hates her guts, the delusion was real with her. Also, she's just a "pick-me". Her Marie Curie obsession, being a woman in STEM with tattoos, piercings and dyed hair, being so small and dainty. I got tired hearing how small and petite she is, I don't care.
Levi was so immature for someone in their thirties, Sir, you're not twelve years old. I really didn't understand why he started ignoring Bee and treating her like garbage after Tim told him to stay away from Bee. He could've still been amicable with her at least, like there was no need to act like that at his big age. I got tired of hearing how big and tall Levi is. Again, I don't care. He was my least favourite MMC from the Ali Hazelwood universe ( Adam and Jack forever <3). Levi was too much of a simp for Bee for no reason. He saw her one day in class and was obsessed with her for the next six years. It's not romantic, it's plain creepy.
Overall, Love on the Brain was a disappointment and letdown. For sure one of my least favourite books I've read in 2023 and definitely my least favourite Ali Hazelwood book. This one just wasn't it for me personally and that's ok.
